May 14, 2010.

Matthew J. Creme Jr., Esquire will assume the office of president-elect of the Pennsylvania Bar Association at the conclusion of the organization's Annual Meeting on May 14 in Hershey. Mr. Creme will serve as the 117th president of the 29,000-member state legal association in 2011. Mr. Creme served PBA Treasurer from 2005 until 2007 and as Zone Three Governor from 2000 until 2003 representing Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Juniata, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry and York county lawyers. He is a member of the PBA House of Delegates, the Berks County Bar Association and the American Bar Association. Creme served as president of the Lancaster Bar Association in 2004.

May 6, 2010.

Matthew J. Creme, Jr., Esquire has been named Co-Chair of the Lancaster City/Lancaster Township Consortium of the Lancaster Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He shares the Chair responsibilities with D. Hunter Johnson, AIA, NCARB, principal architect of TONO Architects.

Denise Farrell, Pa.C.P. was elected President of the Lancaster Area Paralegal Association.

January 15, 2010.

Bernadette M. Hohenadel, Esquire has been elected President of the Board of Directors of the Lancaster Bar Association for 2010. Ms. Hohenadel has served on the Board of the Association for many years.

November 2, 2009.

September 14, 2009.

Richard G. Greiner has been named a member of the Board of Directors of the Lancaster Foundation for Educational Enrichment, a non-profit charitable foundation established in 1989 to promote educational excellence in the School District of Lancaster. Mr. Greiner previously served on the Manheim Township Educational Foundation, most recently as its president through August 2008.

July 30, 2009.

Matthew J. Creme, Jr. will speak on August 12, 2009 at the Lancaster County Association of Realtors, Commercial & Industrial Council on the topic of Petitions to Rezone and Amend Zoning ordinances as a tool of real estate development.

June 25, 2009.

Nikolaus & Hohenadel, LLP was a Silver Sponsor for the Lancaster Chamber's 11th Annual Membership Picnic held on Thursday June 25, 2009 at the Landis Valley Farm Museum. In addition to the Silver Sponsorship, the firm participated in the "Burger Cook-off". Although we didn't win (this was our first year) our cook-off team, ably captained by Joe Muzic, Esquire, and assisted by Paula Munson, Esquire, and Rob Cronin, Esquire made a good showing and as they say in Chicago, "Wait til next year".

Wanda S. Whare, Esquire, our employment law attorney, will be speaking on Wage & Hour Law for the Solo & Small Firm Lawyer for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania on July 31, 2009 at its Second Annual Law Practice Management and Development Institute.

Richard G. Greiner, Esquire, our tax and estates partner, will be speaking on retirement planning for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute (PBI) in Mechanicsburg, PA on June 10, 2009. Dick is a frequent speaker for PBI on tax and estate matters.

Donald H. Nikolaus, Esquire has agreed to serve a three year term on the Board of Directors of The Economic Development Company of Lancaster County (EDC). In joining the Board, Mr. Nikolaus recognized the role EDC has had on Lancaster County. "EDC has played such an important role in facilitating and assisting industries and commercial businesses to locate in Lancaster County and helping existing business expand. I'm pleased to be joining the Board and to have the opportunity to participate in the vital role EDC fills in the development and prosperity of Lancaster County."
